The smaller of the Challengers was on show, along with an impressive line up from John Deere.
John Deere's large tracked tractor comes in the form of the 9630T. Another new machine on display was the 7050i series John Deere Forager equiped with maize header.
Not to be out done New Holland had a new combine and new forager at the show too. The New Holland FR9000 forager was also the winner of the machine of the year 2008 award (dlv). All New Hollands equipment was under cover, which tends to be their usual prefered display option these days.
Landini were showing off both their brands, one of the McCormick tractors on the stand was the last one to be made at theit Doncaster site which shut last year.
Claas also had new offerings, the Xerion and the Arion. Claas have certainly filled out their equipment line up to be able to offer a farmer a large part of his machinery needs.
The new Claas Xerion now packs a punch close to the Fendt 936, whether it has the same appeal as a conventional tractor remains to be seen.
New Puma models were on the CASE IH stand, along with the combine which seemed to have a rather large back end!
Different manufacturers target different parts of the market, the manufacturer on the left could supply the livestock farmer with something to harvest it, feed it then spread it!
A very good show again this year with a whole range of machinery, business was bouyant for many with the high corn price helping farmers to re-equip will the opportunity was available. Looks like another successful year for the LAMMA show.
